Kumon Reading Program

The Kumon Reading program is comprehensive.

The concepts covered range from  Reading readiness skills to the study of literature.

Students learn and practice comprehensive  grammar and writing skills ,  reading comprehension skills (fiction and non-fiction) , critical reasoning, interpretation, vocabulary building, and literature---up to and includng Shakespeare. As students progress at their own pace, reading comprehension and writing skills continue to strengthen and improve.  Strong reading skills enhance the ability to solve math word problems.

The cultivation of  a love for  reading, strong comprehension and writing skills are the ultimate objectives of the Kumon Reading program.
